Reclaimed Treated Grade 3 Softwood Railway Sleepers

Generally made from Pine, these are good quality and equally as robust as Grade 1 railway sleepers, with a more rustic appearance, and a higher degree of defects and some surface decay.

May have fairly heavy surface and end splitting, however this is not detrimental to the overall structural rigidity of the sleeper, and if anything enhances the weathered look.

Suitable for a multitude of uses where a more rustic appearance is desired, ranging from decorative features and soil retention to more engineering orientated applications, such as aggregate bays and roadway diversions.

N.B: ALL RECLAIMED SOFTWOOD SLEEPERS ARE TREATED WITH CREOSOTE AND THEREFORE MUST BE HANDLED WITH SUITABLE PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND BE UTILISED IN LINE WITH THE EU CREOSOTE LEGISLATION 2001/90/EC (see details).
